Dear all,
I am reaching out to share an opportunity that you, and educators in your network, may be interested in.
We are hosting a working summit on June 17–18 at La Cantera Resort in San Antonio. The summit will bring together educators and leaders from across Texas to assess where we are with data science education and collaboratively build an action plan for the
next few years.
Quick context: This work is funded through a statewide initiative supported by the
Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) at UT-Austin and Data Science for Everyone (DS4E).
With this, I'm serving as the Greater Houston area Regional Lead
for Data Science for Texas (DS4TX),
a statewide initiative working to integrate data science and data literacy into K-12 education across Texas by 2030.
Next step: Please complete this brief
interest
survey. It helps us finalize the participant roster and ensures you receive updates as plans move forward.
If you have any questions at all please feel free to reach out,
mama...@uh.edu.
Also, if you know other educators in your network who'd be great for this or can help spread the word, please pass it along.
Hope to see you there!
Warm regards,
Mariam
