Hello!
The Sustainability Coalition’s Housing Action Team has recently initiated a project to collaborate with and promote Home Share Oregon in Corvallis and Benton County. There was a wonderful interview today on OPB’s “Think Out Loud” that featured Tess Fields, the Exec Director of Home Share Oregon, along with a woman who is sharing her home through this amazing program.
Home sharing has the potential to be a major part of the solution to the housing affordability crisis. I strongly recommend that anyone who is interested in finding solutions listen to this interview: Oregon Home Share matches seniors with spare room with those needing housing - OPB.
Thanks for your interest!

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive.
