Subject: New Housing Data resource

I just wanted to let you know that we have produced a new dashboard of housing data for the community.  https://www.corvallisoregon.gov/cd/page/housing-data

Every year, housing is near the top of the list of issues that the community is interested in, so we hope that this will provide the community new tools to understand what is going on and also to be able to judge the effectiveness of policy changes, see the impact of the broader economy, etc. A good recent example can be found in the Housing Stock and Production section (Chart #3). The City’s owner occupancy requirement for ADUs was eliminated this year and the chart shows pretty clearly that the impact of that change can be seen already.

The intent is that this data will be kept live to the extent the technology and underlying data sources will allow.

I want to thank Daniel McKenna-Foster and Tracy Oulman who are the ones who created this tool for the community.

Please share with anyone you think might be interested. We want to get as much accurate, user-friendly data into the community’s hands as possible.

Thanks,

Paul Bilotta
