RTI Union is doing a great service to the residents of co-operative housing societies. The members' selfless participation is excellent and beyond imagination. Many aggrieved members and victims in the hands of corrupt and autocratic managing committees of many housing societies have gained immensely from RTI Union Forum.

However, there have been certain questions and criticism emerging from our activities. We are being asked by various old members as well as co-operative authorities that while housing societies are not covered under the scope of RTI, why RTI Union is dabbling in housing societies activism. Some of the original and the pioneer members of RTI Union have also expressed their displeasure about RTI Union's multifold increased participation and involvement in co-operative housing societies' activities.

Mr.G.R.Vora, Mr.Krish, Mr.Suleiman Bhimani, Mr.Mohamed Afzal, Mr.Homi Lord, Mr.Kamalakar Shenoy and many more stalwarts of RTI Union have been doing wonderful and remarkable job in the field of RTI Activism as founder members of RTI Union.

The word " housing societies activism" was not known at all, when I had joined RTI Union as Housing Societies Activist. Mr.Krish, with his ever ready helping hands as usual, helped me to poularise the word.  Even today, I represent myself as housing societies activist. We do not wish to suffocate the growth of RTI Activism, specially when it is needed the most crucially today.

As a result, while we will continue to participate on RTI Union on RTI related matters, we have decided to carry on all the housing societies related activities under a separate and exclusive Forum known as
"Housing Societies' Welfare Foundation".
(Can we have Foundation instead of Forum?)
