Dear all, USAID is seeking to recruit a Senior WASH specialist to fill a vacancy in our Water Office.  Please see the the announcement attached and share widely with anyone you think might be interested.  

Water & Sanitation Specialist

This position is with the Foreign Agricultural Service of USDA, with the selected individual assigned to work with USAID’s Water Office.  The individual selected will take a lead role in incorporating water and sanitation programming into the development portfolios of USAID bureaus and overseas missions.  He/she will conduct water and sanitation assessments, advise overseas missions on programming and appropriate sequencing of interventions, and disseminate information on water and sanitation best practices.  He/she will travel periodically to the field to assist missions with strategy formulation, program and project design, inclusion of women and minority groups as beneficiaries, impact measurement, and program evaluations.   

This is a GS-14 position, with a salary range of $107,325 to $139,523, requiring a significant level of international water and sanitation experience.  It is located at USAID headquarters in Washington, DC.  The position is open to all U.S. citizens.  It is a time-limited “Schedule B” appointment, for up to five years with the possibility of renewals.  A Secret security clearance must be obtained.
