So....the float ball was fucked up and not at the right angle which was causing the valve to stay open and essentially we were dumping water down the drain. I tried to adjust it (feel free to try yourselves its really easy) and thought that I had remedied the issue, but the fill valve may have something wrong with it and I didn't have time to fiddle with it.

HAHAHA do you guys remember how cool that bathroom was!?!?!?!

the float ball was getting stuck on the flapper valve and holding it open, which is why it was dumping water down the drain.  the valve was not filling regularly this morning.  this could be either because you screwed in the adjustment screw on the left a little too much so that valve was right on the edge between being open and closed, or it could be that the spring in the valve is gummed up and not allowing it to open.  it is working fine now, but that could be because i flushed it a few times in a row and loosened up the valve.

i also backed off the adjustment screw on the lefta little bit, which allowed the valve to open more fully.

on a related note, I am going to text guy about the front steps falling apart. It is potentially a safety issue. Anyone have anything else they want to ask about?

the grout around the window in the shower downstairs is falling out a little.  im not sure if this is an issue or not, but he should take a look to make sure.

it is still getting cold, so i'd say maybe just note it and have guy take a listen.  if he knows anything about refridgerators myabe he'll know what to do.  if he doesn't he'll say "is it still getting cold?" and if the answer is yes then that will be the end of it.

Guy really is pretty cool sometimes about that kind of stuff. I guess we shouldn't be afraid to ask huh. I texted him at like noon...

I sent out a text, but fyi don't use the front steps tonight. Pretend you're a cat burglar and go in the back door.
