Hey Guys,

I'm currently looking into playing with the APM modules from 3d robotics. As far as I can tell it's supposed to be all openhardware yet after after some googling I still haven't managed to find any design files?

What am I missing? Is it even available?

Yeah I found that. But if I understand it correctly that is only the mainboard and you still need a sensor board. Thats why im looking for the apm 2
6 files which has it all in one board? 3d robotics does seem to say its openhardware but I only seem to find the firmware source. No hardware :(

The amp 1 has a main board (arduino mega) and then the sensor board which sits on top (My quad I am using a variant of the AMP1). The AMP 2.X is an all in one board.

You seem to have found most of them... (Mostly linked from their shop pages...)

What I can't find:
Pixhawk
Their GPS + compass unit

The APM 2.6 is just the APM 2.5 without the compass.... (And since the compass seem to be non-optional and bundled with the GPS, it might make it impossible (or needing advanced configuration) to fly without a (special) GPS (with compass), increasing the price...)

The clone makers (Hobbyking, RCtimer) tend to provide easier to find documentation... (And while generally buying open hardware from the designer makes sense, if the designer have 3 digit markup percentages, I rather support good clone makers...)

Some other controllers might also be worth considering for manufacture... (It would be really nice if the PX4 ArduCopter, OpenPilot firmware and paparazzi were ported to each other's hardware...)
