Hello all,

This quarter we have many more opportunities for you to get involved in bringing #HourofCode to life! Because we have so many options for getting involved, we are hosting a Leadership Roundtable after #HourofCode next Monday. The details are below.

Roundtable Meeting - Get Involved in #HourofCode
Postponed - New Meeting Time TBA
in Olympic Hall (OLY) 206

At this Roundtable meeting, we will discuss:
  • The two (2) Junior Coordinator positions
  • The Development Team to help build the Club Center's new website
  • The Head Coordinator position for #HourofCode in the 2015 - 2016 school year
Come to this Roundtable to ask questions about these opportunities, hear more about what each role requires, and learn how you will be supported and guided in these positions.

I hope to see you all there!

Happy Coding,
- Molly

Hi Stuart,

What's this?

Some of the text isn't quite right, so I'm curious what you're going to use this for.

Let me know, and I'll get you some updated text.

Thanks!
-Molly

hey Molly,

I was just making notes to myself to remember what to tell the students in Ravi's classes.  Those were the main points I told them, the rest were things like no experience necessary and showing them our history in the google group threads.

Did I get some of the info wrong?

Hi Stuart,

Ah, I see! Nope, you didn't get any information wrong, I just wanted to add that our coding group is inclusive and welcoming to everyone.

I wrote up an official statement about #HourofCode for the RST Meeting last week. You might find it helpful when promoting the club!

"Women in STEM hosts a weekly coding workshop called #HourofCode. #HourofCode is an inclusive and welcoming coding community for all students who are interested in learning more about programming and computer science. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced programmers. #HourofCode meets every Monday from 2pm - 3pm in OLY 206. For more information, please visit: tinyurl.com/hoc-group."

Thanks so much, Stuart, for your help promoting #HourofCode! You rule! :D

Cheers,
Molly
