CHATA - "LEARNING PEOPLE CAN BE KIND"
CHATA.png
**TIME IS EXPIRED** NEEDS RESCUE COMMITMENT ASAP to avoid kill-list FRIDAY!!

Breed: Rottie

Age: 5 years

Sex: Female Unspayed

Weight: 70 lbs

Heartworm Status: Heartworm Positive

Dog-friendly? Yes, currently kenneled with others

Notes/What We Know: This sweet girl was surrendered due to her owner's health issues and their inability to responsibly care for her. Understandably, she is scared, nervous, and unsure of all the changes in her life. Having never lived indoors, everything is new to her, but she's trying her best. She is gaining confidence on a leash, enjoys treats, and is slowly learning that people can be kind. Beneath her timid exterior is a gentle soul who simply wants to feel safe and loved. With patience, reassurance, and a little time, this deserving girl has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

URGENT: We are currently over capacity, and  we are losing 18 kennels due to renovations. As an open-admission shelter, we cannot stop the intake of stray animals. All animals who have passed their hold times are at immediate risk once their hold time is up. Firm commitments with pickup dates are urgently needed to prevent euthanasia

Lexington County Services in Lexington, South Carolina is in need of assistance placing these dogs with a rescue! These are available to a 501c3 rescue only.  We do exhaust every resource possible but unfortunately due to overcrowding dogs do become at risk of being euthanized. We can provide additional photos, video, vaccines, heartworm tests, health certificates, RABIES VACCINES or any behavioral assessments that may be needed

Please make sure all communication is done via email to     LCASR...@lex-co.com

so that we can keep track of all communications.  We do have a phone used for rescue to call during an emergency or when we are away from the office such as transporting. The phone number is 803-465-5726. We respond to rescue inquiries Monday through Friday 8am-5pm(EST) and it is checked regularly. We offer free transportation Monday through Friday during business hours locally which would be the area of Lexington County, City of Columbia, or Richland County. Our staff is very passionate about getting all of these wonderful dogs to safety and will help in any way possible!

When inquiring about a dog, an animal ID number is required and not just their name.

Include a note at the end of every email stating what rescue you are with.
