What do you mean by manage a liberation server..Liberation is just a mission with or without Mods. The server set up is pretty much the same for all missions. Some server hosts have mod managers and easy 1 click install and some don't,it all depends on the server. Check the "Servers and Administrators" part of the forumn it has some step by step guides. I run liberation on mine quite a bit with Mods,server set up is pretty much the same.

yes i do need help i think, im making a custom faction mod but its still in its early stages, im hoping i can use it in Liberation but is it as simple as put each ai/vehicle under one "roof" and do they need a lot of units to work or can the enemy ai have like 3-5 different ai/ units?

We have a dedicated server that we manage through TADST, so we can't use server parameters. We have try to change the mission_params.cfg, uncommented the params and setting our desired values, we have rebuild the Mission but when we launch the server the params still with default values.

I always play solo Liberation so I usually apply some QoL fixes to make some elements slightly less tedious.
What I can't figure out is how to disable 'forced walk' when handling boxes? I would like to be to sprint when moving boxes around. Which script needs to be modified for that?

I don't recommend to touch the speed when you are moving and object,
you can have collision and suffer damage. (thus it's not very realistic ? )

if you still want to change this behavior, look into folder R3F_LOG

First of all thanks for the answer, I just updated it with the latest version which shows as a correction... "clean the server side of the ai player", unfortunately it keeps happening to me, I will keep trying with the following updates since previously I couldn't even start the mission and I solved it with an update.

I have a question/problem : Liberation RX works fine with ACE, but only the first time it is being started; for example, if you go back to menu, and start again the ACE mod seems to "disappear" (the menu and physics are not here anymore)

Do you have an idea of what's causing this problem ?

Thanks for the answer. But I meant individual enemy unit markers during combat. Just when there is a fight, I sometimes open the map to roughly understand where the enemies are and in which direction to shoot. Is it possible to enable this somehow?
And one more question with your permission. Do I need to score at least 20 points to keep my score and resources on localhost after leaving the game? I understood it from the previous messages in this topic.

This guide will show you all of the shortcuts and things you need to know to quickly set up a Dedicated ARMA 3 Liberation Server. I will walk you through the process of setting this up locally. This is almost the same process as a dedicated production Windows server. The configuration may vary but this guide will get you through configuring ARMA, liberation, and setting up the mods.

The mods need to be uploaded to the root of the server. The best way to download them for uploading is to use your Desktop ARMA client to download the mods. They are typically located in the !Workshop folder in your Steam Apps location.

Antistasi has most if not all that covered. Few of us play it every so often and setup was basically put it in the mission folder and start the mission. Also comes with ACRE and RHS (has lot of fancy new toys) Integration.

Antistasi sounds like the way to go if you want to start modding a ARMA server. Sure Antistasi is not a mod, its a scenario, just like our main arma server with "Liberation" but there is so much more potensial with antistasi as there are compatible mods that make the experience very epic. on the Liberation server we are using BLUEFOR modern equipment and vehicles to capture strategic land from the enemy. however it's all just given to you on a plate. sure its all fun and all to blast people with an A-10 after a few mins of starting a game, but soon it will get boring.

Antistasi doesnt hand you everything on a silver plate. you work from the bottom as a tiny rebel group with nothing but mosins and develop to being a bad ass insurgency with AKs, ARs, Vehicles and eventually conquer land. In combination with mods such as RHS which actually lets you fight against the US army and the Russian Armed Forces as an insurgency, another feature is that you can set who your fighting with and who is your ally etc. for example you can set it so that the US Army is invading Russian Territory and the insurgency is fighting along side the Americans, or even Fighting against both the US or Russia.

During the first days of antistasi you cant hold territory as you will get rekt. instead you have to do hit and runs against enemy held territories and do missions such as supply missions or rescue missons.

Also, I think it's best to let people know that more people are starting to play ARMA 3 such as myself and a few others... So it would be even better if a few more people got into the game as well (If you can run it lol) It would broaden the experience and will bring more fun, singing our own made up rebel songs on a truck on the way to deliver propaganda leaflets or into impending doom.

I don't recommend ACE, and TFR, as there is no purpose to use for a not that populated server and therefore the reasonable way to use it, is to have clan operations with possible Zeus included. Same goes with any AI mod, they are really not good as you might think, especially with different scenarios that could possibly be run on the server.

I am really down to have a server that would bring us to a different era, or at least a front, as I'm not the biggest fan of vanilla Arma 3. If you need any info on Iron Front, I can give you pretty much anything about it as I am part of the developing team for it. The thing I will say is that it does have a wast variety of different assets and units.

The Liberation mission has been modified on the VG server. Original Liberation also starts without resources. In practice, it's like this: you collect resources and others buy equipment. It takes 1-2 people for logistics 24/7.
You have another VG server - BMR Insurgency. Also without mods.
Antistasi is suitable for a closed clan server. I do not like it, because in Antistas 50% of the game time you plunder the corpse.

How many different versions of mission antistasi have except going for the infra structure POI's to get the civilians on your side? I dont think we have the manpower to playing it in an enjoyable wise.

We don't need to go full ACE/ACRE, but it would be nice to have the ACRE option or to have some events with ACE/ACRE once we have a crowd used to the Arma style. Those used to be sweet! And now that it's super simple to join modded servers and get the mods, the hassle of ACRE from the past may be gone now. But ACE/ACRE for events, not everyday. I bring it up because it's the top of the milsim mods setup for some serious action.

I'll let you all discuss the many game modes, there are just so damn many cool ones. And, yes, we can make a server that has controls for all of you regulars to stop/start/restart the server in the event you want to run a server that needs to be shut off when you guys are not playing it. The perks of being in VG.

But I would prefer we chose a game mode that was a 24/7 setup, like have our 3rd Arma 3 server be the modded one and it's always available even to the public. Whatever we decide will be fine, if it doesn't work out, we can try something new. Doesn't cost anything but time and a bit of technical work sometimes.
