This Week's Meal Cancelled (October 10)

Hey yammers,

So, this e-mail is to inform all of you that this week's meal is cancelled.  Sad isn't it?  What's worse is that this week it's due to a lack of volunteers!!!  That means WE NEED YOU.

Hot Yam! is 100% volunteer based, which means without people donating some of their time and effort, the meals cannot run each week.  This is a disappointment to us and I'm sure to you lovelies as well.

We're sorry to have begun this year with such a rocky start.  Hopefully we'll be running more smoothly in the future.

Why you should volunteer:

- You get to hang out with a bunch of awesome people passionate about food

- Chance to be a part of an organization that makes food accessible to a wide variety of people

- Free Wednesday lunches!

- Opportunity to express your creative side/ inner chef by giving us recipe ideas and even leading a meal yourself!

- A chance to gain some teamwork and leadership skills
