-XXaltjvm=dcevm property not applied?

Hi all,

    I'm having a problem with that property. I installed DCEVM as altjvm and when I start my VM I can see the HOTSWAP AGENT logs initialized. But, when I connect a debug session and modify my class to add new methods I get this error:

         Hot Swap failed
         RhinoSDK: add method not implemented;
         RhinoSDK: Operation not supported by VM

    Class replacement when I modify an already existing method code works fine.

    As a test, I installed DCEVM by replacing the existing JVM, and now I can add new methods and classes are replaced successfully.

    I'm using Oracle jdk-8u77-linux-x64 with DCEVM-light-8u74 and hotswap-agent 0.3.0-SNAPSHOT-1.

    Can DCEVM work with Oracle JDK? or only OpenJDK is supported?

Hi,

 

Oracle JDK is supported. However, your error message shows RhinoSDK. Do you use any special setup?

Hi,

   Yes, that's the name I gave to the remote debugger session within Intellij Idea.

   Is there anything I could do to try to debug this?
