Hi there,
This was called "JMatch Intro Page" by Michael Rottmeier, and I think it only worked with version 5 of Hot Potatoes. Agnès Simonet updated some of his add-ons, and created lots more, but I don't think this was one of them. You could create exactly the same effect by adding an introductory page before the exercise, though.
