Hi Folks.
Some among you may find this interesting.
This is really time-saving. Took me 5 mn.
Here's my prompt.

I'm giving you a JCloze file as a template.
Can you make the same kind of exercise (with virtual pagination) using this text?
Start a new page at each /break.
Create the gaps on the questions (so students can practise asking questions) and on the technical vocabulary of the house.
Replace the link to the YouTube video with an audio player that plays "rent.mp3".
You can add tooltips on words that are difficult at B1 level, using the abbr tag as I did (but not on the words you have made into gaps).

---

Script

Mrs. Laurent: Hello, Villa Les Oliviers, Sophie Laurent speaking.

Mr. Bennett: Good morning, Mrs. Laurent. My name is David Bennett. I saw your house online and I'm interested in renting it next July. I have quite a lot of questions. I hope that's okay.

Mrs. Laurent: Of course! Please ask me anything.

Mr. Bennett: Thank you. First, how big is the house exactly?

Mrs. Laurent: It's about 280 square metres on two floors. There are five bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom. It sleeps ten people. There's also a sofa bed in the office if you need it.

/break/

Mr. Bennett: And what size are the beds? My back is sensitive. etc...

Hi Rodolphe,

Please excuse my beginner's questions.

I assume the file provided as a template is an htm file.

Does AI understands “virtual pagination”?

Did you let the AI decide where to place the gaps?

I guess that in the end, the AI generates an htm file, not a jcl file.
If that's the case, every time you want to make a small change, you have
to ask it to redo the work, right?

Bonjour Agnès,
It does generate a jcl / jmt / h5p... file.
I've actually improved the process a little bit.
I use Claude in VSCode, it handles my whole website.
Let's say I put in a folder  the embed code of the video, a text file of the script fo the video, 2 jcl files, 2 jmt, 1 jqz, and 2 h5p files file from a previous chapter, it will use them as models and build the whole activity, including links from A to G, virtual pagination, abbr tags for translations...
Of course, It requires rereading, but 95% of what I want is there.
So Hot Potatoes is definitely (for me) far from being obsolete.
The only minor thing is that I include them in Moodle as a file activity and the grades are not taken into account.
