Hello again !
Seasons greetings to you all !
I am experiencing a problem which I thought I had solved with your kind help ages ago…
In some syllable-encoding exercises I have created, each
syllable must be encoded twice!
The problem is that when you click on the sound button of one syllable, the
other button of the identical second syllable is triggered at the same time,
thus giving the pupil a clue, as they will know exactly where the identical
second syllable should be written!
At the time, Agnès gave me a tip to fix the problem.
« You had to modify the player.js file as follows :
In player.js at the beginning, you will see :
var unicode_play='►';
var unicode_pause='<span
style="display:inline-block;font-size:60%;vertical-align:middle;padding:0px
5px 3px 1px;"><strong>||</strong></span>';
//var unicode_pause='►';
Just comment the second line (adding // at the beginning)
and uncomment the third line (removing // at the beginning) »
The problem is that, despite modifying the player.js file, two buttons are still triggered simultaneously. As my exercises were relatively old (most likely created with version 6 of Hot Potatoes), I carried out a test by recreating an exercise using version 7 of Hot Potatoes. The problem is thus persisting :

What I eventually discovered is that in the Firefox browser the problem occurs, whereas it does not occur in the Edge browser. You might therefore tell me to use Edge and that this would solve the problem! However, my pupils are used to Firefox. Do you think something could be done to avoid this issue in Firefox?
Thank you in avance for your kind assistance !
Have a lovely festive season !
Cheers from France !
