The package I made was based on named package because for this printer, Brother did not make a separate LPR and cupswrapper driver. There is only one 'printer driver' file. So the wiki-page does not apply here.
After installing (and even restarting), when I open up the printer settings and select my printer from the list (printersettings in GNOME) (it is connected to the same WiFi network). I still get an error that adding the printer failed. I get a pop-up that printer drivers are needed.
i have the named printer (printing works) and try to get the ADF working. I have installed brscan5 and brscan-skey, the flatbed scanner works, just not the ADF. Not one scannerapp is recognizing the ADF.
The weird thing is, i had it working some weeks ago. Looks like an update killed the functionality.
Just installed the brother driver packages on my wifes Kubuntu, scanner ADF works oob. Only difference i saw, was that the package was installing brsaneconfig4 instead of 5.
So i switched to that on manjaro but no luck.
ok, thx, i try that when my system is booting again. After the last updates 2 days ago i have only a black screen with cursor and tty login says wrong password. I hope one of the posted solutions works
What is AirPrint?Apple AirPrint allows full colour, top-quality printing from iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads directly from within many Apps available from the Apple App Store.
AirPrint enables users to print wirelessly from within applications on Apple devices to AirPrint Compatible Printers connected to a wireless network. You can use your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to easily print via Airprint without the need to install drivers or configure the printer queue. Just tap 'print' and select your AirPrint compatible printer, and print!....It's that simple.
What You See is What You Print
If you can open it on your apple device, chances are you can print it with AirPrint and an AirPrint compatible printer. Airprint works with Safari, Mail, Photos, iWork, PDF's in iBooks and many third-party AirPrint compatible apps available from the app store.
There are also a wide variety of third-party apps available to enable wireless printing through Apple devices, even to machines that are not natively AirPrint compatible printers. By sharing a printer installed on an Apple Mac or Windows Pc over a wireless network any printer may be able to take advantage of the AirPrint features. (An additional third-party app may be required to be installed on the local machine)

The Brother MFC-L2750DW is a good option if you only print black and white documents, but it isn't ideal if you plan on printing photos or color documents since it's a monochrome laser printer. Its wide connectivity options include USB, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet, making it easy for every household member to access the printer. It has a feature-rich scanner with an automatic document feeder and single-pass duplex scanning capability, and it produces amazing scans, which is great for digitizing photos. Its toner cartridge yields a large number of prints, so you won't need to replace it often, and it's relatively cheap, so your maintenance cost remains low.
The Brother MFC-L2750DW is excellent for small or home offices. It produces very high-quality black-and-white documents, and it's quick, printing up to 36 pages per minute. Plus, its toner cartridge yields a large number of prints, so it doesn't require much maintenance. Its ADF-equipped scanner can process double-sided sheets in a single pass, and its wide connectivity options include USB, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet.
The Brother MFC-L2750DW is great for students. Its cost-per-print is incredibly low, as the toner cartridge yields a large number of prints and is cheap. It has plenty of connectivity options, including NFC support, and a scanner with extendable hinges to accommodate thick items like textbooks. It warms up fairly quickly and prints up to 36 pages per minute, and it produces very high-quality documents. The downside is that it can't print in color.
The Brother MFC-L2750DW is outstanding for printing black and white documents. It doesn't take long to warm up, prints very quickly, and supports automatic duplex printing.
The Brother MFC-L2750DW isn't designed for printing photos since it's a monochrome laser printer that can only print in black and white. Printed photos look grainy and lacking in detail, and the printer can't print on glossy paper.
We tested the Brother MFC-L2750DW. It has many variants with slightly different features and performance; you can see them in the table below. Unless otherwise specified, all printers come with a lower-capacity 'starter' cartridge.
The Brother MFC-L2820DW and the Brother MFC-L2750DW are very similar overall.
