Hey Ladies!
Hope you are all having a wonderful off-season. The 2013 Club Season is fast approaching and with the start of the Triple Crown Tour there will be a few changes ahead. We'd like to get some feedback from the 2012 team to see what Hot Metal can commit to this season, and update you on other team developments.
The final Triple Crown Tour guidelines are now posted. Full guidelines can be found here if you're interested, but these are the key things we need to know:
- The Triple Crown Tour is basically just a restructure of the USAU Club season as we know it. Due to our 14th place finish at Nationals last season, we are in the "Elite Tier"

- The Triple Crown Tour is basically just a restructure of the USAU Club season as we know it. Due to our 14th place finish at Nationals last season, we are in the "Elite Tier"
- We will have to attend the "Pro-Elite Challenge" in Atlanta, GA July 20-21
- We have the options of attending the "Elite-Select Challenge" in Boulder, CO August 10-11. If we participate in this event, we will have a bye to Regionals. If we do not attend this tournament, we will need to play in Sectionals and play in at least one more tournament in order to play all of our required 10 regular season sanctioned games.

Through discussions among previous and nominated captains, we've determined that participating in the Triple Crown Tour is in the best interest of the team and the future of Pittsburgh women's ultimate. We will still like your feedback to determine whether or not to commit to attending the Elite Select Challenge. Leadership update - most of the women nominated for captain this season feel that they are too unsure of their other summer commitments to confidently commit to running for captain at this point. We hope that people will have a better idea of their level of commitment in the next few weeks, however in the mean time the potential leaders are still committed to making the team happen and will be dividing and conquering the necessary season preparation. We are committed to ensuring that we have a strong leadership core for the team.
