Job Title: Sr. Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Phoenix, Arizona ( should work in EST/CST)

You are an experienced infrastructure engineer with 10 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions. You bring a strong foundation in cloud environments, systems engineering, automation, and modern DevOps practices.
You are comfortable working across compute, networking, storage, and containerized environments, and you take pride in building infrastructure that is repeatable, observable, and resilient. You collaborate effectively with engineering teams and contribute to improving operational efficiency, system reliability, and overall platform health.
Role Responsibilities
Development & Enforcement
Design, build, and maintain infrastructure solutions across cloud environments (e.g., GCP) including compute, storage, networking, and IAM
Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, ensuring consistency and repeatability
Implement configuration management and deployment standards across environments
Contribute to infrastructure governance, security controls, and compliance requirements
Enforce best practices for infrastructure design, provisioning, and lifecycle management
Collaboration & Expertise
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and application teams to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions
Provide technical guidance on infrastructure design, cloud services, and deployment strategies
Act as a subject matter resource for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and automation tooling
Participate in cross-functional discussions to align infrastructure with business and technical needs
Analysis & Configuration
Configure and manage cloud resources, including networking, IAM, and compute services
Analyze system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across environments
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across cloud platforms, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD pipelines
Optimize configurations for high availability, scalability, and performance
Operational Support
Support day-to-day infrastructure operations, including provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance
Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and visibility
Support incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts
Perform routine infrastructure maintenance including upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
Mentorship & Training
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on infrastructure best practices
Contribute to team knowledge sharing through documentation, code reviews, and technical sessions
Promote standards for maintainability, reliability, and operational excellence
Innovation and Research
Evaluate new tools, technologies, and practices to improve infrastructure capabilities
Contribute ideas for improving automation, scalability, and developer productivity
Stay current with emerging trends in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and containerization
Strategic Planning
Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps and long-term system improvements
Support capacity planning, cost optimization, and scalability initiatives
Assist in defining standards and processes for infrastructure growth and modernization
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or DevOps
Strong experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, routing, load balancing, firewalls)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions or equivalent)
Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (logging, metrics, alerting)
Strong Linux systems administration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Kubernetes environments (GKE preferred) and cluster operations
Familiarity with configuration management and GitOps practices
Experience with artifact repositories (e.g., JFrog)
Exposure to security tooling and practices in cloud environments
Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
Familiarity with image-building tools (e.g., Packer)
Basic knowledge of Go or similar languages for tooling is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Equivalent practical experience in infrastructure and cloud engineering is also acceptable
