Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced API - AI Lead with expertise in API Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Enterprise Solution Architecture. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of API-first AI platforms, enabling scalable GenAI solutions, intelligent automation, and agentic AI applications across enterprise environments.

This role requires deep experience designing AI architectures, integrating LLMs with enterprise applications, implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, and establishing API governance for secure and scalable AI ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-wide API-first architecture for AI and Generative AI platforms.
• Lead the architecture and development of scalable AI services, LLM integrations, inference APIs, and intelligent automation platforms.
• Design end-to-end Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and prompt engineering techniques.
• Build scalable AI pipelines including data ingestion, embedding generation, retrieval, reranking, and response generation.
• Design and implement multi-agent AI systems and autonomous workflows using modern orchestration frameworks.
• Develop reusable APIs and microservices for AI applications and enterprise integrations.
• Integrate AI platforms with enterprise applications including CRM, ERP, and data platforms.
• Establish API governance including authentication, authorization, security, versioning, throttling, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Define Responsible AI standards including governance, compliance, model monitoring, explainability, and data privacy.
• Drive architecture reviews, technical solutioning, stakeholder discussions, and mentoring of engineering teams.
• Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-scale AI solutions.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of overall IT experience with strong Solution Architecture or API Architecture experience.
• Expertise in API design and management using REST APIs, GraphQL, API Gateway, and microservices architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python (preferred); Java or .NET is a plus.
• Deep experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, and AI solution architecture.
• Strong expertise implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector database architectures.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
• Experience designing intelligent agent frameworks and multi-agent AI systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of API security, authentication, authorization, and governance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LLMOps, AI observability, and model performance optimization.
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS, Weaviate, or Milvus.
• Experience with enterprise modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of AI cost optimization, routing strategies, and inference optimization.
• Experience implementing Responsible AI frameworks, data governance, and compliance standards.
• Financial Services domain experience is preferred.
