Role :  Sr Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location:  Boston, MA - Day 1 Onsite - Local or Nearby

Exp: 12 Years 

 

Skills: Snowflake, Azure, Apache iceberg, ELT/ETL, SQL , Python 


Job Description:

 

12+ years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise of 8+years in Snowflake.

Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg, including table creation, schema evolution, and integration with Snowflake.

Experience in building and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows using SQL, Python, dbt, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of modern data lakehouse architecture and cloud data ecosystems (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Azure is preferred

Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.

Familiarity with external Iceberg catalogs (e.g., AWS Glue, Hive Metastore) and Snowflake-managed Iceberg tables.

Experience with tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, dbt, or Kafka is a plus.Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
