Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Payroll Functional Consultant for a full-time on-site engagement in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The ideal candidate will bring advanced expertise in SAP Payroll and Time Management, with strong functional knowledge of HCM modules and integration points across OM, PA, ECM, Benefits, and MSS/ESS. This role involves leading configuration, production support, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple SAP teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day production support for the complete payroll lifecycle – from time entry and payroll execution to GL posting and reporting.
• Configure and maintain SAP Payroll and Time settings, including break fixes, enhancements, and BSI updates.
• Research and troubleshoot payroll and time management issues; develop and implement effective solutions.
• Act as liaison between business end-users and developers to ensure smooth process execution.
• Write functional specifications, develop test plans, and perform end-to-end testing of enhancements and fixes.
• Conduct user training, develop documentation, and provide support for business process optimization.
• Collaborate closely with teams across Security, Basis, Development, CRM, BW, FI-CO, MM/WM, and FM/GM to ensure seamless integration.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Extensive SAP ECC 6.0 Payroll and Time configuration and functional support experience.
• Prior experience in Payroll/Time implementation and upgrades preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of A/A types, wage types, tax models, off-cycle activities, payroll and time schemas/rules, garnishments, remuneration statements, FI postings, third-party remittance, and tax reporter.
• Strong understanding of BSI configuration and SAP HR data migration tools.
• Experience with SAP workflow strategies and cross-module integration (OM, PA, Benefits, FI-CO, MM, BW).
• Solid understanding of ABAP principles to support functional design and testing.
• Strong analytical, communication, and team leadership skills with the ability to manage priorities and project timelines.
Preferred Experience:
• Over 10 years of SAP Payroll and Time Management experience across large enterprise or public-sector implementations.
• Deep technical understanding of schemas, rules, operations, and functions.
• Experience with FMLA, FLSA pay calculations, overtime processing, and CATS integration.
• Proven knowledge of Payroll Control Center, benefits integration, and tax configuration.
• Expertise in third-party remittance, posting to accounting, reporting, and data extraction from payroll clusters.
• SAP HCM Certification preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
• Provide production support for bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing.
• Document existing Time schemas and assist in SAP-to-Oracle data conversion activities.
• Support extraction program development and data validation.
