Role: Healthcare Data Engineer  with claims or provider experience
Location: Minneapolis, MN or Madison,WI (must be local for occasional onsite)
Duration: Longterm C2H


 

Overview

Looking for senior, hands-on data engineers to support a modern data platform initiative.

This is a code-first engineering role — not traditional ETL or reporting.

 

Candidates with experience in health payer environments are strongly preferred — specifically supporting data across Clinical, Claims, or Provider domains. Ideal candidates understand how to work with healthcare data models, business logic, and large-scale datasets in these areas.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build end-to-end data pipelines (ingestion → transformation → analytics-ready)
  • Develop using SQL + Python (PySpark preferred)
  • Implement data quality checks
  • Work in Git-based development (PRs, version control)
  • Support CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on data logic and definitions

 

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong SQL + Python
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Lakehouse experience (Delta / Iceberg / similar)
  • Git + CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Proven experience building production-grade pipelines

 

Nice to Have

  • Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric
  • dbt
  • Orchestration tools (Airflow, etc.)
