Job Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and driven AWS Public Cloud Project Manager (PM) to join our technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering AWS public cloud projects on time and within budget. This individual will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources, and ensure that all project goals align with business objectives and client requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning and implementation of AWS public cloud projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and adjusting as needed to ensure timely delivery.

Coordinate with engineering, operations, and other relevant teams to allocate resources and monitor workloads.

Identify and manage project risks, resolving issues quickly to minimize impact on project timelines and success.

Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and clear communication on status, milestones, and changes.

Ensure quality assurance and compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards throughout each AWS project lifecycle.

Support post-project review and documentation, capturing lessons learned and best practices for future initiatives.

Monitor project performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimize future cloud deployments.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

3+ years of project management experience, ideally with cloud projects and AWS technologies.

Strong knowledge of AWS services, cloud architectures, and project management methodologies.

Proven track record of managing complex technical projects and delivering results under tight deadlines.

Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project.

PMP, PRINCE2, or AWS certifications are a plus.

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience with large-scale cloud migration projects or hybrid environments.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud automation tools.

Knowledge of cloud security standards and compliance frameworks.

Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
