Business Analyst
Job Location: Columbus, OH (only local candidates in Ohio)
Client: OPERS (direct client)
Work mode: Hybrid (3 days remote / 2 days onsite) initial Hybrid after needed base hybrid/onsite
Retirement system OR “government or Federal” experience advance plus
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and document business and system requirements for retirement system enhancements or implementations.
Analyse current processes and identify gaps or areas for improvement in pension or benefits workflows.
Work with IT teams to translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
Assist in system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Collaborate with stakeholders, including retirement plan administrators, HR, and IT, to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
Prepare reports, process diagrams, and documentation to support project initiatives.
Support change management and training efforts related to retirement system updates.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with retirement systems, pension administration, or benefits systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and business documentation.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Visio, Excel, or similar platform
Understanding of retirement or pension plan regulations is a plus.
