Application Engineer job responsibilities
Duties:
· As
a member of the State reporting Development Team,
responsible for report design and development, and ensuring reports follow the
development and architectural standards.
· Participate in design an implementation using Oracle, Java, Struts, the proprietary Reporting Engine Scripting language and other modern technologies.
· Participate on software development teams using Scrum or other agile methodologies, and collaborate with all teams to ensure architectural outcomes meet current product needs.
· Implement innovative world class solutions, communicate project or task status on regular and timely basis, ensure stakeholders are effectively informed in a timely manner.
· Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and translate complex business needs and problems into innovative technical solutions.
· Consult with product management team to define business requirements, standardize components and make recommendations for reuse in order to create architecture that is scalable and flexible for future growth, and ensure optimum performance, scalability, and usability with solid architectural standards.
Requirements:
· Master's degree in Computer Applications or Computer Science or equivalent foreign degree as determined by a written evaluation, with 5 years experience as a computer engineer or computer analyst designing web-based software and database development using Oracle SQL, Java.
· Strong sql development, experience in building complex sql queries using database packages and procedures preferably using oracle.
· Experience in UI technology that include HTML, java scripting, Struts.
