- Hands on Experience in Installation, Configuration, Supporting and Managing the
Hadoop Clusters using Hortonworks and Cloudera distributions.
-Strong knowledge of Hortonworks and Cloudera Hadoop components such as HDFS,Yarn, Ranger, Storm,Nifi,HBase, Hue, Spark, Hive, Kafka, ZooKeeper and Postgres
-Troubleshooting, diagnosing, performance tuning and solving the Hadoop issues.
- Experience on Kafka and Nifi for stream processing of Data
- Good to have exposure to any of monitoring tools like Grafana,Splunk etc
-Experience in securing the Hadoop cluster using Kerberos and Ranger.
-Need to work with database team, network team, BI team and application teams.
-Ensure that the hadoop cluster is up and running all the time.
-Monitoring the cluster connectivity and performance.
-Manage and review Hadoop log files.
-Backup and recovery tasks
-Resource and security management
-Troubleshooting application errors and ensuring that they do not occur again.
Must be customer oriented, able to interact with different teams, vendors, and a good team player
-Good to have knowledge on Cloud platform (any cloud distribution).
- Good knowledge in UNIX.
- Good to have knowledge in scripting.
- Experience working with Vendors on product troubleshooting
