IAM Business Analyst II

Total EXP:13 + years must


State / federal client experience  must
Certification in Business Analysis (#CBAP, PMI-PBA) or #IAM-related certifications.

Position Overview

The IAM Business Analyst II will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for IAM solutions.

  • Support implementation of SailPoint Identity Governance and Ping Access Management platforms.

  • Develop process maps, workflows, and use cases to support IAM initiatives.

  • Facilitate meetings with business units, technical teams, and vendors to ensure alignment.

  • Assist with training materials, user guides, and change management communications.

  • Analyze access data and generate reports for compliance, audits, and performance metrics.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within IAM operations.

  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with technical/non-technical audiences.

  • Apply creative problem-solving to address business and IAM-related challenges.


Skills and Qualifications

Required (7+ Years)

  • Business analysis experience in IT or cybersecurity environments.

  • Hands-on experience with IAM platforms (SailPoint, Ping, Okta, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in process modeling tools/techniques.

  • Skilled in creating and presenting executive-level project communications.

  • Skilled in gathering requirements from business divisions.

  • Skilled in educating staff on standardized processes.

  • Strong verbal and written communication with all levels (including executives).

  • Skilled in facilitating group meetings with internal/external stakeholders.

  • Skilled in collaborating with technical/functional teams to develop technical specifications and supporting documents.

  • Experience in implementing enterprise systems integration.

Preferred (4+ Years)

  • Experience with State of Texas government agencies.

  • Familiarity with ITIL, NIST, or other security frameworks.

  • Certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, or IAM-related certifications.
