I am having the same problems. I must run Windows XP on a PC that is tied to laboratory instrumentation, and it cannot be upgraded to newer windows versions without also replacing a Labview real time operating system with which it communicates. everything worked perfectly with Team Viewer 10. So I tried using Team Viewer 12 (worked but slow connecting, and forced to the 5 minute timeout sessions now) . I then tried version 14, and I cannot connect, the Team Viewer window simply says connecting...... forever. If I buy a license, can I use an old compatible version of Team Viewer on the remote PC that will not force me with the 5 minute timeout sessions?

Got this Error on my Win7 x64 bit desktop pc, since I have a new one with win10, and got the same error today! And I got this Error on my Win7x64 Laptop!
Everything else does operate normal.
I have tried to delete with revo uninstaller, cleared the reg and the appdata. With teamviewer QS is get the same message, also with Teamviewer Portable!
Also installed the zertification of the .exe

would it be possible to run teamviewer 10 and teamviewer 11 on the same PC without uninstalling one? TV10 currently installed.I tried to rename TV10 folders in appdata and program folder but it wouldn't let me - said file open. Found the open part via task manager, services to be in \appdata\roaming\microsoft\I??? but I was unable to read rest of name or find anything.
So i was thinking...
What are other ways i could alternately switch and run the one i wanted to match another PC's version?

If you want to improve things, make it more stable. around every 5th time when I start up teamviewer it says "unlicensed" then I have to wait 20-30 seconds until I am logged in so I can use the corporate functions we pay for.

Hello,
I also have the same problem:
I installed teamviewer, when the PC restarted I got the error: "teamviewer critical error version failed".
I tried to uninstall the program, also with the help of "GEEK".
I performed all the steps described above, deleted the registry keys, in the "% temp%" folder
Now I no longer have any registry keys, not even the program installed, but the error continues to appear when I restart.
I also tried to insert the wintrust dll.
But that error always appears when restarting the PC.

I have tried team viewer from version 3.6, have also tried team viewer quick support they all brought errors none of them couldn't connect, does anyone know how to connect windows 98 to TeamViewer it was urgent, thank you so much in advance!

I just checked them, but windows 98 isn't listed. We have a cnc machine which runs with windows 98 pc office, we encountered a problem and the company is willing to fix the issue through TeamViewer but TeamViewer isn't connecting with windows 98, can you please suggest us a solution, thank you in advance

I also tried connecting windows 10 to xp but that didn't work either. It says incompatible versions. I tried to use Xp pc to control my android phone by installing quick setup on my android that worked, but what I need is the reverse, I want to control my xp from other pc. Thank you in advance!

Technical Support (Yepes) responded to my support ticket with a solution. The GUI for some reason is reporting that you have the newest version when in fact there is a version 15.0.8397 out for Mac as well. She suggested deleting your install (drag to trash from the Applications directory), then go to teamviewer.com and download a new copy. That fixed it for me. Hope this helps.

The problem here is when using Teamviewer to connect to a remote windows host, the Mac prompts to say the remote host is running a newer version and an upgrade is required. When I try to upgrade teamviewer on the MAC, it says it is running the latest version

This has been frustrating as the install keeps hanging during the installation at Copy to C:\Teamviwer\RollbackTemp\Teamviewer_.exe I have uninstalled v12. I have removed all references to teamviewer in the registry. I have rebooted the laptop. I have run the installation as an administrator and each time it hangs in the same spot. V12 worked fine but I needed to go to v15 to have a remote group control my PC. But regardless of everything I have done i cant get v15 to install. It never gets past this point of the installation process.

Windows 7 is compatible with the v15 as per the compatibility table. As I already noted, I did edit the registry to remove all traces of teamviewer which is the advanced instructions you pointed to. I saw the issue mentioned in prior threads and many got through this issue by installing as administrator. But in my case this did not resolve the problem.

So I am still stuck and unable to install teamviewer onto my Windows 7 laptop. Always hangs up at the same spot one-third of the way through the installation progress and just hangs there. The log file had a message that said failed during copy. No further insight.

Unlike the v15 install, v14 did not create a teamviewer folder with a log file in it. And the install progress bar stopped at the same stop bu the message window was empty whereas the v15 showed the copy message I noted in the first post in this thread.

Unfortunately, this has a rippling effect as the failure to install teamviewer makes it impossible to install other software by a remote party which needs teamviewer to install their software by taking control of the laptop where teamview fails to load. They have automotive software to be loaded in a speical manor once they can take control of the laptop.

Since I do not have a paid account yet, I can not submit a ticket to support this major problem. But I can't even install the free version of teamviewer so why would I consider purchasing a paid account? Looks like I am between a rock and a hard place.

I am using teamviewer 9 on my laptop (windows 7) to log-in remotely to windows 8. After I log-in I cannot use my keyboard, however my mouse works fine. I have tried going to actions and clicking send remote key combinations but still not able to type, any idea?

The relevance has been fixed so that it is only applicable on x64bit and we are looking to add 32bit teamviewer as soon as possible since it is a pretty common application, that said, we do prefer 64bit software as the default when available.

I cant believe that teamviewer couldn't supply this info. I paid $1500 plus for a license and was having the same issue. I connect to a user using the quick support. From within QuickSupport I attempt to install the host using the file & extra options so I can have 24/7 access to the computer. Teamviewer prompts me for admin credentials, I enter it, it temporarily disconnects me and then reconnects me to finish configuring the 24/7 host. Once I answer the questions in the wizard the app crashes bc its a non admin account. I have been waiting on teamviewer support to get back to me to no avail. Here is what you have to do:

Direct the customer to download and run the quicksupport module. Before connecting to the computer click on the down arrow AND select remote control using windows authentication instead of remote control prompt for confirmation. Enter the admin credentials and now you have full admin privileges while connected to the standard user.

I have video and etc under teamviewer so I know that is all working as expected, but when I launch affinity publisher, I get the initial loading screen and then a blank white screen that I can't do anything with at all. It won't render or anything useful so it seems like something is failing to load properly when using a remote display rather than the local display.

Use the options under View to adjust the resolution of the remote session, choose between quality and speed, and decide how the windows display. In the Communication menu, you'll find options for starting a voice/video call via the internet, sending text chat, and using a whiteboard for illustration.
