Dear pratap,

we are going to meet Hostel office people today at 2 pm with a list of following complaints. please forward this to the concerned people.
If possible please join us for some 10-15min.

1. Persistent blockage problem in the bathrooms and toilet. All bathrooms and toilets in the wing near room no.1 are closed for a very long time.
2. Water purifier installed at the Ist floor is not working.
3. Water shortage: motor is not switched regularly specially during the evening time.
Either watchman should be instructed to switch it on or students should be allowed to do the same.
Tankers should be arranged whenever water supply is not there.
4. Geysers are not working, taps are leaking, showers are broken and exhaust-fans are not working. So a complete check and repair is required in all the wings.
5. Overhead water tank needs to be cleaned.
6. New Security guards are not active (not doing there duty properly) so dogs enter into the hostel in the night and create a ruckus in the hostel.

Regards

Hi Pratap,
We need to organize a meeting and discuss regarding these problems.
It is happening in S-Block too.
In every toilet there is a problem in S-block (Taps, toilet doors,

Best..

Hi All,

This is to inform you that R-block students went to Hostel office on 19th Feb 2011, with bucket and mugs to show the water shortage criticality.
There we had meeting with Prof Umarji, Chairman, Council of wardens.

We explained the water shortage problem which is more in this year and so frequent that at least 3 days in a week we are not having water in our Block.
We asked for some extra tanks (can be ready made Sintex type tanks of 1000 lit capacity each) on the roofs for emergency usage, since peak summer is ahead.

He agreed for our demands but I don't see any action till now.

I feel all of us should meet once before take any other meeting with Hostel office people to show the importance of water management and necessary actions to be taken immediately.

Its better if we meet in this week itself, and try to arrange another meeting with hostel officials with all of us and Chairman, Students Council.

I would like to request Pratap to inform this to Rishi, Chairman, Students Council to listen all the hostel problems before going to Hostel office.

Regards
Venkat

Dear Venkat and Ashok,
We can have a meeting among us for a brief time of Thursday at 2PM. After that we can meet with the hostel officials to find out what action has been taken on ground so far and how to go about the problems not solved yet.
Please prepare a specific list of complains so that we can make the meeting most effective. Just telling every bathroom has a problem can give them an excuse to prove us false.
The other student council members would be a bit busy for the organization of SNT run. So it may be difficult for them to join us for this meeting.
Pratap
