Minutes of the meeting held on 9th Feb 2010

Dear Friends,
First off all, I would like to thank you for all those who attended the meeting today. I hope the new members would hove now got some idea about the working of the committee. Things will get more clear as you go along...

Here are the minutes of the meeting.

• All the members(Including those who couldn't physically attend the meeting today) are requested to send in writing the detailed problems of their respective blocks. Please send these by 10th Feb 6PM so that we can compile them and send it to the hostel office on 11th Feb. Although we have discussed some of the present issues of some of the hostel blocks and their possible solutions verbally, this is a must.
• We will take an appointment from the council of wardens for a meeting once the hostel office goes through the list of problems sent by us and is ready with the possible action plans.
• Ankit will help in making the hostel web-page.
• Gouri will do the job of sending reminders for the future meetings. The details of all the members will be provided to her.
• Representatives are requested to put their details in the notice boards of their respective hostel blocks. Shivanand will mail the soft copy of that so that in case anybody wants to edit the content they will be able to do so and put the edited printouts.

For those who have not sent their details yet are requested to send them again so that those will be used in making the hostel web-page.

Hi Pratap,

My hostel problem is ....

we have ground and first floor, and drinking water supply is available only on ground floor,

every time we have to come down to ground floor to get drinking water and even in summers, it is not enough supply for 126 girls.

So we kindly request you to put forward our issue that we need one More drinking water supply on first floor too.

Hi Pratap,
My hostel problem is ,
we have G +2 floors in that there are totally 300 rooms , even we
have same problem drinking water is available only in ground floor and
secondly many of the geysers in the bathrooms are not functioning .Its
very difficult to take cold water that that to in this cold biting
mornings. So please put up these problems.

Hi Pratap,

I am sending the list of problems faced at  PD block 

1] Rats are causing trouble in some rooms    [ possible soln. buy rat traps and poison ]

2] TV remote control is not there!                  [ possible soln. write an email]

3] Water wastage, because of  overhead tanks overflow when the pump is switched on [ possible soln. using ballcock for those tanks]

4] Aquaguard needs maintenance 
 

these are the problems which I found apparent at very first sight.
