Passbelow an unnamed summit, or take the social trail up and over the top of it. Drop into a major saddle (4,200), and ascend the last 800ft to Peak 5,057. The summit reportedly has 3 different survey benchmarks, dating back to the early 1900s.

Our plan was to camp on the ridgeline and bag the summit 5057. We climbed up the ridgeline via an off-trail route, but were forced to dive into our tents on the ridge when a rare storm rolled into the mountains.

His daily workout routine is evident in his muscular, well-toned physique. Although he is extremely attractive, donor 5057 appears to have no idea how handsome he truly is.

When the Milwaukee Road abandoned Washington in 1980, the 5057 helped pull one of the last trains eastward. Of the locomotives that pulled the last three trains out of the state, only the 5057 and fellow U25B 5056 are still intact. The others have been scrapped or substantially reconfigured. The 5056 is preserved at Illinois Railway Museum in Union, IL.

In addition to its relevance to the history of the Milwaukee Road in Washington, the 5057 has broader historic significance because of the type of locomotive it is. The U25B model was a breakthrough locomotive for General Electric, giving it a successful entry into the market for railroad locomotives that had been dominated by other companies. Today General Electric is one of the dominant manufacturers of railroad locomotives. The 5057 is one of only seven U25B locomotives that still exist.

When it entered service in July 1965, the 5057 was number 388. When the Milwaukee Road renumbered their U25Bs in May of 1968, the 388 became 5007. The U25Bs were renumbered again in July 1974 and the 5007 became 5057. It still carried that number when the railroad sold it in 1984. It went to Webster Technical College in Sidney, NE in 1984 and then was donated to 1991 to the Portola Railroad Museum (now the Western Pacific Railroad Museum) in Portola, CA.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5057 is contained in a standard humanoid containment chamber. Excess fluids are to be cleaned as necessary. Consumption of SCP-5057 is strictly forbidden.

Description: SCP-5057 is a humanoid automaton made of polypropylene plastic, roughly resembling a clown. It is sentient and capable of speech, despite lacking the necessary organs to do so. Though it is capable of movement, SCP-5057 is mostly still and only appears to move when necessary. SCP-5057 secretes a continuous amount of ethylene glycol (CH2OH)22 on its surface, which coats the plastic it is made out of. The entity claims to be fully edible and repeatedly encourages personnel who interact with it to consume it.

Why on earth was I sent SCP-5057? It's not a Wondertainment product and it's taking away from my containment budget. I assigned one of my Junior Researchers to talk to it and keep it busy for the time being, but I need it reevaluated soon. Please respond ASAP.

Anyway, I thought I'd save you some trouble and have my assistant start building a relationship with SCP-5057 to make questioning it easier. It doesn't seem very smart, so I have suggested he try befriending it.

You mentioned earlier that you had your assistant build rapport with SCP-5057. Maybe now would be a good time to press it for information on its history? We finally assembled a team for the project and idle hands are the devil's playthings after all.

Preparation saves lives. Know where you are going ahead of time and always have a way to keep yourself on trail. One way to do this is with a GPS system or app like Gaia GPS.

You can also reach Peak 5057 via the south approach embarking from Carney Springs Trailhead. This approach is roughly 8.0 miles long and while still very steep, it requires less scrambling. View this route on AllTrails.

I would not suggest hiking this one in high temperatures, or anything hotter than 75 degrees. There is a good amount of exposure to the sun as well as extremely steep sections that will make you put in the work.

Just beyond the petroglyphs there will be two large boulders marking the correct way. A lot of hikers have a difficult time locating the actual trail beyond the petroglyphs. Just remember these boulders pictured above and keep in mind that if you find yourself in the middle of the canyon bushwhacking, you missed the trail.

The trail is a constant incline the entire way from the petroglyphs to Peak 5057. There are only a few small sections that level out but they pass quickly. Be prepared for your calves and quads to burn!

Once I neared the Ridgeline Trail my luck continued and I reached the clouds. This is when they decided to drop some snow on me! This is not normal for the Superstitions, but definitely can happen for a few days during the winter season.

The rocks provide good foot and hand holds which allow you to easily maneuver your way up. In my case the snow sure made it a bit slippery, but even with the snow we conquered this obstacle with ease.
