A note from our friend Scott:
Clavius update...don't miss tomorrow's psych-rock blow-out with
already legendary masters of musical mayhem DMBQ! Seriously, these
guys put on a live show as transcendental and entertaining as bands
like Lightning Bolt, Boredoms, Residents, Negativland, Comets on Fire,
etc: you mind will trip out and your ass will boogie. Also on the
bill are Thrill Jockey's Pit Er Pat with their uncategorizeable fusion
of odd rhythms and textures, and Stoogy garage-rockers Awesome Color
(Ecstatic Peace). On the horizon is the third 20 Buck Spin (our
festival homage to the doom metal that Pentagram pioneered) on
Halloween weekend, Aids Wolf/Yip Yip, Sikhara, Plastic Crimewave Sound
w/ Djin (from seminal improv '70s freaks Yahowa 13!) and Kohoutek,
legendary UK post-punkers the Homosexuals with Sonic Youth/Swans
producer Martin Bisi, '80s Hagerstown psych-garage band The Left with
the Rambling Shadows, and Dylan-esque singer-songwriter Elliott Murphy
(who recorded a few critically acclaimed records for Polydor and RCA
