Hi all,
Am circulating this workshop invitation re the council's traffic plans. I've been to the last 2 workshops and there are a lot of local residents from west side of London Fields who are lobbying for more road closures, which would potentially drive more traffic to Horton and Elenor Roads and increase the traffic jams at our end of Richmond Rd. Would be great to have more Horton Rd and Eleanor Rd residents at the next workshop :)

Dear All,

In November 2018 we held the first Richmond Road workshop where we looked at existing interventions and discussed issues and ideas for improving the environment for walking and cycling and reducing traffic on Richmond Road. You can download the first workshop report at hackney.gov.uk/richmond-road-workshop

In July 2019 we held a second workshop where we tested the key ideas raised at the first workshop and narrowed down workable interventions to improve the road. You can download the second workshop report at hackney.gov.uk/richmond-road-workshop

We will be holding the third workshop to present our final ideas, which have been informed by the contributions of participants at the previous two workshops and modelling we have done for potential schemes in the area. We would like to hear your feedback on our proposals, before a concept design is drawn up by Streetscene officers for a non-statutory public consultation.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday 18 March from 7pm to 9pm in a local venue, with registration from 6:30pm to 7pm. We have previously indicated that the workshop would take place in February and therefore would like to apologise for the delay.

For further details and to register your interest, please fill out the expression of interest form at hackney.gov.uk/richmond-road-workshop. Spaces may be limited so please register before midnight on Tuesday 10 March. After you've registered your interest in attending the workshop, we'll be in touch via email to confirm your place and the location of the workshop.

Kind regards,
Robert Nicholas
