Dear Equestrian Colleagues:

Attached is my detailed 7-page report on Loafer Creek Horse Campground that is located within Lake Oroville State Recreation Area.

This is on the south side of Lake Oroville, and many miles away from Oroville Dam (which cannot be seen).   Loafer Creek Horse Campground is administered by the California Department of Parks and Recreation.  Reservations are needed during summer months, because this is a popular horse campground

This is an up-scale horse campground with hot showers, flush-toilets, sinks with running water, a round-pen, a manure-disposal trailer,  and hitching posts.  It is set apart (several miles) from the public campgrounds, so that there is no congestion or over-crowding.

With best regards from Robert Hadley Sydnor, A.E.R.C. Trail Master
