Dear Equestrian Colleagues:
Attached is a brief 3-page report about the Judge Davis Equestrian Trailhead along Highway 20. This is located between the City of Williams and the City of Clear Lake, near the border of Colusa County and Lake County.
The Judge Davis Trailhead is an entry point for the Cache Creek Natural Area, owned and operated by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management from the BLM Ukiah Field Office. The trailhead is free to use for day-riding (not overnight camping).
Equestrians from the Mother Lode counties and San Francisco Bay area counties are encouraged to use the Judge Davis Trailhead on a year-around basis, particularly in the temperate Spring and Autumn months. It is less desirable in the hot summer months and rainy winter weather.
You are welcome and encouraged to sign-up for the AERC Cache Creek Ridge Ride, typically held the first weekend of May each year. There are typically about 175+ riders each year for this very popular endurance ride. www.CacheCreekRidgeRide.com
Respectfully submitted, Bob Sydnor
