As many AERC endurance riders are aware, a entirely new campus is being constructed on Penryn Road for the Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center.   It will be opened in the Spring 2013, so look for updates about the construction work schedule.

In the meantime (summer and autumn 2012), here is some engineering geology information about the site on Penryn Road.  This includes the regional geology of the Loomis Basin area, a description of the petrology of the quartz diorite, aerial photographs, and the kinds of heavy earth-moving equipment (bulldozers with ripping teeth, percussion drills, compaction equipment) that are used in hard granitic rock to achieve a level building pad.

The new facility moved-in over Memorial Day Holiday weekend (May 25-26-27, 2013).  The grand open-house reception is June 30, 2013.  Congratulations to Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center on their new facility.
