Dear Equestrian Colleagues:

Attached is a detailed 19-page report on the use of cenotaphs by the equestrian community.   A cenotaph is a memorial to someone who is not buried there.   People are buried elsewhere in a cemetery, but few persons visit cemeteries (except for immediate family members).

This report advocates for memorial benches, memorial picnic tables, and memorial hitching posts at equestrian trailheads. This is a win-win situation for all equestrians in future generations.  It is highly useful to have picnic tables and benches at trailheads.  A brass plaque provides the name of the equestrian donor.    And the rest of us will praise her/his name forever.

         Respectfully submitted, Bob Sydnor
