Horos hangs at application start

I use horos-3.3.6

MacOS is 10.14.6

I tried to reinstall and

rm -rf Library/Saved\ Application\ State/org.horosproject.horos.savedState
rm -rf Library/Caches/org.horosproject.horos
rm -rf Library/Preferences/org.horosproject.horos.plist
rm -rf Library/Application\ Support/Horos

What else can we try?

I've had something similar happen to me but haven't taken the time to find the root cause, other than it happens after a crash. I had to remove the DATABASE folder (Documents/Horos\ Data/DATABASE.noindex).

If you cannot afford to lose the images in your database, try to move that folder somewhere else first, launch Horos. If it starts up correctly, quit it and move the database back and try again. If that hangs again, you may need to re-import the images (copy folders under the moved DATABASE.noindex folder to the Documents/Horos\ Data/INCOMING.noindex).
