How does HOROS separate unique patients

Hi all,

I'm looking for help from this community.

I've run into an issue where images from all my anonymized patients end up in the same folder on Horos. This leads to the situation where a rad scrolling through each image series is catapulted from the images of one patient to another as he/she proceeds to the next slice ... they are all listed together in teh same folder.

My simple anonymization script replaced all characters by 'NA' and all numbers/identifiers by zeros - I need to revist that strategy.

My question is how does HOROS typically separate unique patients from each other - what DICOM field(s) does it look at to decide that Patient A must be listed separately from Patient B, even if they have the same name .... is it by Patient ID, by Accession Number?
