Hi,
we have just upgraded our Siemens scanner to the newest XA30 version (Prisma). The new fashion is that each brain volume (T1w, single EPI) is now a saved as a single DICOM (enhanced?). So the EPI series is saved as a bunch of DICOMs, which are loaded as separate "lines" into Horos database. In the result there are so many "lines" that the navigation within the database is very inconvenient. Also we use Horos plugin to export selected "lines" to nifti, which now is impossible (process starts separately for each of the lines).
Maybe is there any method to merge the series into one again or any trick on the scanner?
Look forward to hearing from You

By "lines" in the database, I assume you mean the series under a patient/study. I have not experienced this with enhanced MR DICOM objects. They each show as one series in the database. If possible, can you share an anonymized version of one of the DICOM objects that can replicate the issue?

Sure. I attached 5 last volumes from the EPI series acquired on a phantom. This is the standard ep2d_bold sequence program with the standard auto archive option enabled. The files were downloaded from XNAT, which as far as I know doesn't modify the original files. We have the Siemens Prisma with Numaris XA30.

Thanks. Now I can replicate your issue. It seems Horos is creating a new series for multi-frame objects. Currently the only workaround I can find for this is to merge the multiple series into one after they are loaded to the Horos Database. Do the following:

- Select all of the "lines" representing the entire EPI series.
- Right click and select "Merge Selected Series" from the mouse menu.

OsiriX has a preference to not split multi-frame series. I can import these objects and it keeps them as one "line"/series when that is set to not split. Horos does not expose that preference so hence the workaround above.

Indeed, everything is fine in Osirix. The workaround is not really feasible with 500+ volumes so I look forward to the same option in Horos.

Hi Horos Team,
is there any update available? It seems to me that multi-frame DICOMs from Siemens will stay for longer.

Hi,
I've just installed the new version 3.3.6 (and 4.0.0 RC5) to check if "Split multi-echo MR" is available. I am glad that there is such an option but it does not seem to work. Please let me know when You fix it!
Looking forward to hearing from You

Sorry for the confusion. I was looking for an option "Split multi-frames series" but it does not appear in the menu unfortunately.
