Horos app proximity to Macbook

Hello,

I have set up Horos to communicate with a secondary server.

My question is: if I want to utilize the Horos app on an iPad, can it query the studies that were sent to Horos without having the macbook (Horos application) in the same vicinity or powered on?

Please advise.
