Magnetic windows not moving correctly

Anyone having issues with the magnetic windows not working properly? When I try to drag a window to another location on screen to rearrange the windows into the way that I prefer to read MRIs, the graphics don't flow smoothly and "get stuck" halfway to the new location so that I have a very hard time moving them into the new location where I want to view a specific MRI sequence. Unfortunately, with the way that our IT department has our RIS server set up, I can't use hanging protocols. I'm using Horos v. 4.0.1 on an M3 Macbook Pro with Mac OS X Sonoma. However,  this has been occurring for some time on previous macs with older chips and operating systems.

Yep -- same issue here. It's happened to me on multiple Horos versions, but I've not bothered to narrow down which macOS. (Currently on Ventura 13.6.1.)

No solution, but my workaround is to turn off magnetic windows. When I need to rearrange, I quickly drag them to the approximate location, and, from the menu, choose Window | Tile 2D Viewer Windows to line them up. Command-T is the shortcut.

It's double the dragging, but it's a lot less frustrating and time consuming than the current misbehavior. Once you get the process in your fingers it's pretty fast.

Yeh…I’ve just been dragging the series from the sidebar to where I want them…I view brain MRIs as 2 rows with 4 columns but it’s a pain point to have to do that 8 times for every scan I’m looking at. I’ll try your idea for now.

To potentially resolve this, I suggest we temporarily disable the Stage Manager feature on our macOS Sonoma devices. Here are the steps to do so:

On your Mac, do one of the following:

• On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Desktop & Dock  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Go to Desktop & Stage Manager on the right, then turn Stage Manager on or off.

• Click Control Center  in the menu bar, then click Stage Manager  to turn it on or off.

I already had Stage Manager turned off and I'm still having issues with magnetic windows.
