Hi,

I'm a mobile vet surgeon. I receive a lot of jpeg files from clinics that I'd like to be able convert to DICOM files. I've looked through all the previous conversations about the plugins. The problem is, that I don't have a "Horos" folder in my Applications Support to unzip the plugin I found. I've tried just making one, but Horos programme doesn't recognise it. The User Guide doesn't help either.

Do I need a Horos Cloud to be able to use plugins?

How do I make a "Horos" folder in the Applications Support, and then a "Plugins" folder in there?

Just remember, I'm an idiot at this, so please don't step over the simplest of commands!

Many thanks in advance.
Best wishes,
Damian

If you are having troubles with the plugin setup, maybe this online tool will help you quickly create a DICOM file you can then import:

Another option is to use GIMP, that can convert many image formats to DICOM. You can download it at: https://www.gimp.org. To convert:

1) Open JPEG (or other image format) using File->Open
2) Start conversion using File->Export As...
3) In Export dialog, change the suffix in Name: to ".dcm", select a folder, then click Export.
