St Mary Hornsey: Tombs and Memorials

Bridget Cherry talks about the monuments erected during centuries of burials in St Mary’s church and churchyard.  What do they tell us about the character of Hornsey and the approach to commemoration in the past and today? The speaker examines the evidence both for the monuments in the lost church and in the churchyard, drawing on material collected during the recent tomb survey carried out by the Friends of Hornsey Church Tower.
