There's something for film & music lovers in both west & east of the borough this week.
On Tues 26 Nov, Alexandra Palace, Alexandra Way N22 7AY, has a showing of the Harold Lloyd 1926 classic silent film 'For Heaven's Sake', with accompaniment on the Willis organ by Donald Mackenzie of the Leicester Square Odeon, in the Great Hall (via Palm Court entrance) at 8pm. Tickets £10 (£7 members of Friends of AP Organ).
As part of Haringey's first Independent Film Festival, Bruce Castle, Lordship Lane N17 8NU, has a free screening on Weds 27 Nov at 7.30pm of films inc a 1955 B/W documentary on jazz trombonist Chris Barber at Wood Green Jazz Club, which was behind the Fishmonger's arms.
