Dear All

The information below will interest those who have been following the consultation process re the Hornsey Depot development. As usual, there's good news and bad - great news re the baths frontage, but 8-storey blocks will still impact on the views of and from Alexandra Palace. You can check out the application for yourself by following the links below.

Regards
Rachael

Just over 550 people took part in the consultation for the Hornsey Depot site - either visiting the exhibitions or attending the workshops.

Their views played an important role in shaping the developing masterplan with major changes made to the plan as a result of feedback.

These changes included:
- Reduction in maximum block height from 10 to 8 storeys
- Reduction in height of building fronting the High Street from 4-6 storeys to 3 storeys
- Removal of Sainsbury's cafe from the proposals
- Free parking for 90 minutes in the Sainsbury's car park for use by all
- Creation of new public realm with inclusion of outdoor fitness suite to entire community's use
- Central bay of Baths building plus crest to be preserved and re-erected within the development, and visible from the High Street.

The planning application was submitted by St. James and Sainsbury's on 30th September. It can be found on the London Borough of Haringey's website:http://www.planningservices.haringey.gov.uk/portal/servlets/ApplicationSearchServlet?PKID=270227. You can comment on the planning application online via the website.

The consultation process and findings are detailed in the Statement of Community involvement. This can be downloaded from the link above, and it is also available on the Hornsey Depot website: http://hornseydepot.com/consultation/consultation-materials/ You can also download the exhibition boards from the site for more information about how the development was revised as a result.
