Plot

The film begins with a family performing the funeral rites of a person on a beach. When the young son of the deceased asks his grandmother about the deceased, she begins to narrate the story.

Raghu and his best friend Dedh Footiya (Mohnish Bahl) struggle to find work in Mumbai. They decide to run a pav bhaji stall, but fate steps in when Raghu accidentally kills a customer who turns out to be the brother of a notorious gangster, Fracture Bandya (Mac Mohan). Now on the run, they kill Fracture Bandya and his men also, when the latter tries to find them and kill them treacherously by arranging a meeting through Suleiman Bhai (Shivaji Satam), a middleman in the Mumbai underworld.

Raghu and Dedh Footiya now end up in the Mumbai underworld, working for Suleiman Bhai. They rise up the ranks and become feared gangsters themselves. Raghu marries Sonu, a simple girl who loves him despite his criminal lifestyle. Raghu's father, Namdev, is proud of his son's success, but his mother, Shanta, is worried about his safety and morality.

Raghu's life takes a turn when he kills a corrupt cop named Inspector Kishore Kadam (Deepak Tijori), who had harassed and tortured him in the past. This angers Kadam's friend and senior, Inspector Salim Shaikh (Sanjay Narvekar), who vows to take revenge on Raghu. Shaikh joins hands with rival gangster Vitthal Kaanya (Ashish Vidyarthi), who wants to eliminate Raghu for encroaching on his territory.

Raghu and his gang are attacked by Vitthal Kaanya's men at a party. Raghu manages to escape, but Dedh Footiya is killed in the shootout. Raghu is devastated by the loss of his friend and becomes more violent and ruthless. He kills Vitthal Kaanya and his men in a bloody encounter.

However, Raghu's reign of terror comes to an end when he is betrayed by one of his own men, Subhash (Shiva Rindani), who informs Salim Shaikh about Raghu's whereabouts. Shaikh leads a police team to raid Raghu's hideout. Raghu fights back, but is outnumbered and wounded. He manages to reach his home, where he is confronted by his mother.

Shanta is shocked to see her son's condition and realizes that he has become a monster. She decides to end his misery and shoots him in the head with his own gun. She then calls Suleiman Bhai and tells him that she has killed her son. Suleiman Bhai respects her decision and arranges for Raghu's funeral.

The film ends with Shanta telling her grandson that his father was a brave and good man, but he chose the wrong path.
