It was recently announced that Forza Horizon 5 will be launching on PC on November 9, 2021 so you have at least a few months to make sure your computer can pass the system requirements test. Four months before the release date, we have the minimum system requirements to look at at least. This cutting edge driving game will still be able to run on a wide range of PCs due to its relatively low minimum requirements. For the minimum video card, you only need something like a GeForce GTX 650Ti or a Radeon R7 250X, and for CPU, you only need a Core i5-750 or its AMD equivalent. In order to hit the track on Low Graphics, your computer also needs at least 8 GB of RAM. Stay tuned for more system requirements news for Forza Horizon 5 as its launch date approaches.
Forza Horizon 4 PC requirementsask for at least 65 GB free storage space to install the game. While you can install the game on a HDD, we generally recommend going for an SSD for better performance.
Forza Horizon 4 Steam will be delisted from Steam and the Microsoft store from December 15, 2024 onwards. This decision to delist the game from Steam is the result of a licensing and agreement decision between Forza and their partners. While you'll no longer be able to purchase the game, the game will remain playable to all Steam players who have previously purchased Forza Horizon 4, with online play remaining accessible despite the delisting.
The final Forza Horizon 4 event, Series 77, will run from July 25 to August 22, at which point the playlist screen will become inaccessible bar the Festival Playlist history. While there will be no further Festival Playlists after Series 77, Forza have stated that daily and weekly challenges will continue to provide players with Forzathon Points which can be exchanged for Backstage Passes.
Forza Horizon 4 issues can include infinite load screens and refusal to boot - this can be caused by the Discord Overlay or some anti-virus programs preventing the game from starting. But on the whole, FH4 is really well optimised for PCs - it is the second game in the Horizon series to be released on PC after Forza Horizon 3, so developers Playground Games have this game polished. It has full peripheral support too - for controllers and steering wheels.

Will i still be able to run forza horizon 5 at lowest settings with 2gb vram? I remember when that the previous minimmum requirements for vram was 2 gb when I was pre-ordering the game. I have met all of the requirements other than the 4gb vram requirement.
These are my laptop specs:
i5-1135g7
12gb ram
iris xe
mx350(performing similar to a gtx 750 desktop or a gtx 1050 max q for mobile)
If you have played Forza Horizon 4 and are wondering, whether your PC meets requirements of FH5, this comparison might be helpful. I compared performance of the games on each graphics settings preset from Low to Extreme in 1080p, 1440p and 4K resolutions. I hope it helps anyone
I tried out the new Forza Horizon 5, both on my Xbox One S and on my (2) computers. There are still several issues with the game that are being adressed by the game dev team, but since Intel iGPU's are not officially supported, I don't think this particular issue is primarily the dev team's concern.
Something with the rendering seems to saturate after running the game for a while. It is easily repeatable with the Benchmark mode, every time. It starts clean, but after about 30 seconds the game screen starts to flicker heavily. See this attached video.
The video showcases the glitch. Also the game hangs every now and then (another issue, probably unrelated). Then there is a random minor glitch that might be unrelated, also shown in the end of the video.
I clean installed Windows 11 on an empty SSD, with latest updates installed (Microsoft Windows 11 Home 10.0.22000). I have the latest Intel GPU drivers (version 30.0.100.9929). The Intel Graphics Tool generated report is attached.
I can confirm that the latest driver version 30.0.101.1191 (released on 14 Dec, 2021) fixes the most apparent glitch that causes the whole screen to flicker with bright colors. There are some small "flares" of light that kind of seem related, but they appear in smaller sections of the screen.
So the game is now more or less playable with my laptop (Irix Xe). There are still graphics issues, but they are much more minor and should be discussed elsewhere. The devs probably know about them already.
Did Forza Horizon 5 ever work fine before on this specific machine?
I bought Forza Horizon 5 on day 1 (8th Nov 2021) when it was relased and the problem was there in the beginning. So no, it never ran properly.
Did you make any recent hardware/software changes that might cause this problem?
I installed Windows 11 on a clean SSD and then I installed all of the drivers from ASUS support site. All the updates are installed thereafter. None of the actions should be causative of the problem.
According to the SSU document, the graphics driver version currently installed on your computer is 30.0.100.9929, provided by ASUS, which is the proper driver for your system since it was tested and validated by them.
The Intel graphics drivers are generic, meaning they might or might not work with your specific device. Still, for testing purposes, we can try a clean installation of Intel graphics driver version 30.0.101.1069 following the instructions in the links below:
As for my BIOS, there was in fact a newer version (Version 300) available for my laptop on ASUS Support site, released just some days ago. I upgraded the BIOS normally and rebooted to Windows 11. Everything works as usual, unfortunately newer BIOS has no effect on graphical output & glitches in Forza Horizon 5.
We are sorry to hear the issue with the game FH5 persists after trying the troubleshooting steps provided previously. Keep in mind that when it comes to games we always advise to check the system requirements of that specific game, in this case, Forza Horixzon5. I looked on different external links and it seems to be that a dedicated graphics card is required for the optimal functionality of the game. If that is the case, and that is something to confirm with the game developers, the game will not run properly while using the Intel graphics controller:

Based on those details, we also wanted to check if you agree for us to close this case to avoid duplication? Since from our side, we will need to wait for the driver team to provide a new driver release, and unfortunately, there is no ETA as of when it will become available:
