So from the title it is easily understood this is not an article which you have just started for reading. This was the answer of an e-mail to one of my students who sent me with some questions regarding religion, astrology etc ,2/3 years ago.Here it is.

                              I  am sorry as I am too late in reply. You have asked me such an interesting thing. I thought I should take time to answer. As your mail has so valid questions, these answers may work for others too. May I ask one thing? What is your definition of religiousness? To me, properly doing your job everyday, without expecting any praise etc from others is one kind of religiousness. If one does his or her work properly, can be benefited automatically according to the Karma.
                             So this is one kind of religiousness. I do relate this theory in life. According to Swami Vivekananda, religion [dharma] means “which holds” [dharma] .If it holds society then it is called Dharma [Religion].Now-a-days from our childhood we gained a teaching of “Non-Believing of God”. But God is more prominent than this computer through which I am working. As God is in me that is why I am seeing this .As God is in you that’s why you are reading this letter. The life’s Life, the Chetana i.e. Supreme Consciousness. God is our Soul. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsha [Guru of Swami Vivekananda] once said “If Puja can be done in clay’s model, why not in Human?”.So, giving service to mankind is also religiousness.

                            Yea, your actual question was how Ganesha, Shiva etc called as God.Or should I believe in “Creator of Universe –God Concept?” Okay, Start from Ganesh.Who is Ganesh? He has human body and elephant’s head. Why elephant’s head? Elephant has the memory like “God”. I deliberately use the word “God” here as adjective. By definition God is always 100 % not 99.99%.So in Ganesh’s symbol we find, elephantine memory, writing skill and four hands [in most of the Hindu gods we find.]Why four hands? The four hands have been symbolized FOUR original forces.
1) Universal Magnetic field
2) Gravitational Force
3) Tight Force between particles
4) Loose force [Centripetal and Centrifugal]
Why He[Ganeshji] is with a mouse (rat)? Mouse must be under control if you want to be a scholar. What is the meaning of the symbol mouse? Mouse thinks itself very clever but gets caught at poisonous food or in machine in greed and failed to enter into real things. If you want to be a scholar you will have to take control of all these.
Why Kartikeya with peacock? Peacock is a lazy bird. When it is rain,it starts dance. Who is Kartikeya? A warrior. Warrior can’t have leisure time. What is Kali symbolizes for? Nothing but the “Black Whole”. Like that I can elaborate Lord Shiva‘s Symbol. His Trisula stands for Gas, Liquid and Hard object (Satwa, Rajas, and Tama).He symbolizes concentration or Dhyana.Why with ash? As after death our body will became ash. Through meditation only we will know the “real truth”. One thing we knew so far ,“We all die”. It is truth and hard fact. Realization of this fact will make us more harmonious with all living beings in the world, and then we will be less greedy, co-operative as, we will have to leave the world. World Full of Compassion. Mahatma Gandhi once said, if all the books would have been destroyed, if we remember the 1st sloka of Isoponisad nothing could be destroyed.
“Isha Vasyamidam , Sarvam,Jaat Kinchaa Jagtyam Jagat , Teno Tekteno Vunjita Ma Gridha Kasya Sidhhanam”
Basic essence of above sloka is God is everywhere, there is no place where God is not there .If we want to live, and we will have to share with others and don’t become greedy to other person’s material.

                            I can’t restrain myself to tell a story from Upanishad.Guru[Teacher] teaches his Student about God.Student told “Guruji I can’t understand your sayings about God’s existence”.Guru told “do you want hand on practical?” Student said “yes Guruji”. Guru told “Fill up this vessel with little water and pour this huge amount of salt. Now test, have you felt existence of salt?” “Very much”. “Now pour more water, how you are feeling?” “less salt”, “pour more water and fill up this vessel, how is the taste now?still salty?” “Noo”, Guru said “that means, you didn’t put salt”, “No I did”, “How?”, “with my own hands”.

                            God is like that.If we want to get Him, search inside and be pure. The outer symbols are nothing but the tools for searching inside. The Hindu culture is so enriched, so scientific, vast and great uses of symbols, without knowing this in deep a person can not understand it easily. The use of “Symbol of God” is to excel our Self .Then slowly we became God .Will become perfect. Transform ourselves “being perfect.” To get God be God.

                              I have elaborated about God which symbolizes for perfectness.To get God be God.

                              Astrology is a predictive tool . It is a tool for knowing the secret codes on earth. These are sheer formula. Prediction is a science. Quantum physics is saying “Theory of everything”. [If possible, read Matter and Mind by Sredwinger, father of quantum physics]. There is a link with a butterfly sitting on a flower at Brazil and a birth of a Child at here. So I thought, through Astrology, I must have to serve people and want to abolish the fear about this sacred and oldest science.

                              I wished to tell you many more things like “why the all temple’s head are tri-angled?” What is the “utility of Fibonacci sequences in day to day life”, what is the significance of number 144, what is NASA’s thinking that the life came on earth from outer world, about Stephen Hawkins’s comment “Earth will abolish at the year 2250”, structure of Brain, how we will feel if we are able to stop the workings of right part of brain etc, many many things. I have researched a lot. Shall be published as a book by grace of God in near future
