Welcome to Fall

What a fantastic summer we had and now the freshop beers have come and gone. There were some amazing flavors presented by our brewer friends. The brewers love to make their trip to Yakima and pick up hop flowers, most of the time they use the pelleted hops which are more consistent and stable. In fall though the fresh cut vines are like candy and create flavors that are hard to match any other time of year. There were so many great fresh hop beers this year including the Field to Ferment series from Fremontbrewing. We had amazing freshop from Stoup especially a cask that included lupulin powder which created even a zanier hop profile. We had the Cloudburst fresh hop the "Essence of Wetness".  That name sums up the season of hops.

We send out congrats to our brewer friends who won medals at GABF ((Great American Beer Festival). The festival is the most pretigious of the medal competitions. Georgetown Brewing won two gold medals. One for their IPA which had over 300 entries. Reubens won a gold for thier Gose. Our friends at Black Raven won a gold for their Red Feather IPA, The Ram in Lakewood won a gold. Chuckanut a yearly winner won gold as well.

This month at the Hopvine we have a mix of events with beer and barbecue and music. On Friday the 21st Jamie is doing a brisket that will knock your socks off. Her barbecue dinners have been superb and it will fun to see what she comes up with time. On Saturday the  22nd at 9pm  we continue our songwriter series with Chris King. He will perform his originals and entertain you with his guitar prowess. On Thursday the 27th Silver City Brewing will be in the house at 7pm for a Brewer Appreciation Night. Stop by to try some fantastic beer and meet part of the brewer family. On Saturday the 29th The craziness of the Halloween Karaoke is back at 9pm. Dont miss the fun of this fall classic.

We have a new menu coming out in a week or so.  The pumpkin soup is back for fall along with other favorites. The grinders have become a favorite again and we have amazing pizza as well.

Enjoy your fall and stop by the Hopvine for award winning beer,  fantastic food,  and a night of fun at your neighborhood pub.

Cheers
